Silbitz ist eine deutsche Mittelstadt mit 642 Einwohnern. Sie liegt im Süden des Bundeslandes Sachsen in der Region Ostdeutschland. Die Stadt ist vor allem für ihre Textil- und Maschinenproduktion bekannt. Es gibt auch eine kleine kommunale Fischzucht, die sich auf die Aufzucht und den Verkauf von Speisefischen spezialisiert hat.
